Ok, I'm new to this forum but not to MediaShout. Our Church has been using it for the past year and it's been good for the most part. Recently a new ministry requires us to use a PowerPoint presentation inside the MediaShout. Shouldn't be a problem, right? Well instead of playing like a normal cue, it just sits there as a single 'Slideshow' cue after I choose the PowerPoint with the slideshow tool. I DO have Power Point Viwer which can view the presentation outside of Mediashout. Powerpoint viewer will also let other programs run the presentation. It's only Mediashout that it won't work with.
Any Ideas? I can provide an image if you want.

Make sure the viewer being used is PPT Viewer 97. This is the only viewer compatable with MediaShout. Keep in mind your PPT files need to be in the 97-2003 format. If PPT2010 is being used to create these files, you may need to install Microsoft Office 2007 or later. Make sure it is not the student edition as it is not supported. Home and business is the least expensive full version supported.
If you meet to you can call in and we can look to see how things are set up on your system.
I re-saved the presentation in 97/XP/2000(.ppt) and it seems to be working correctly. I'll just need to make sure I tell my colleagues to use .ppt instead of .pptx.
Would installing Microsoft Office 2007 on my system allow me to open .pptx in MediaShout? Or can .pptx's not be used in MediaShout yet?
