Importing songs into a standardized database, like the one MediaShout uses can be a difficult task. It is necessary to standardize the format before importing into MediaShout. This can be a very time-consuming and tedious process. In order to save your sanity, we recommend using CCLI's SongSelect online database instead of doing the process below:
1. Format the file. In C:\MyShout\Songs\ is a file called "Sample Song.txt" This is a great example for you to use when formatting. Detailed format instructions can also be found in the instruction manual on pages 97 and 98.
2. Save the file as a plain text document (File/Save as)
3. Import the song into ShoutSinger (File/Import) and select "ShoutSong text file" (Version 2) or "ShoutSinger text file" (Version 3). DO NOT use the "SongSelect text file" format, as this will result in a bad import!
To import a text file song in MediaShout V4.x go to the Songs Deck, click on the Song Library Tools Menu button, and choose Add Songs/From Files. Choose Song Deck Text File as the source type.

I have successfully imported songs from media shout v3. How do I get them to project. Songs from v4 project with no problem but the imported ones do not. What do I do?
